ASPAN 40th National Conference: April 24 -29, 2021

Scholarship Application

Precision vision: Empowering, Innovation and Well-being

Texas Association of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (TAPAN) is offering eight (8) competitive scholarships for members with active membership. The total reimbursement amount in the form of a scholarship award will not exceed the registration fee paid by the applicant. Copy of ASPAN Receipt of Registration Fee is required. Applicants receiving funding from other sources are ineligible for TAPAN scholarship funds.

The National Conference Early Bird deadline for registration is Mach 31, 2021.

Include a brief paragraph response to any two (2) of the questions listed.

❖ Why do you want to attend ASPAN 40th National Conference?

❖ What will you do with the knowledge learned at the conference?

❖ How do you plan to grow professionally as a perianesthesia nurse?

❖ Would you consider volunteering your service at the region level? How?

Application Contract

A- Scholarship Contract signed and dated.

B- The completed application for reimbursement must be electronically submitted NLT thirty (30) days prior to the event. Incomplete applications or those not meeting the deadline will not be considered. Please submit by:March 31, 2021 by 11:59 pm

C- Within 2 weeks applicants will be notified of the Board’s decision by the President.

Verification of Attendance:

A. Submit Certificate of attendance within thirty (30) days of the program.

B. Within 30 days, each scholarship recipient will submit a brief article to the Eyeopener Editor describing one significant thing the recipient learned at the conference and how it will influence the member’s practice or leadership.

C. Failure to comply with any of the criteria for verification of attendance will result in the loss of reimbursement scholarship award.

1. I will attend the entire program for which I will receivereimbursement scholarship money.

2. I will send a copy of the certificate of attendance to the TAPAN Treasurer within thirty

3. I will submit a brief computer-generated article within thirty (30) days of the program to the Eyeopener Editor for publication in the Eyeopener. email to: tapancomponentpresident@gmail.com The article will describe something I learned at the conference which will impact my own or my unit’s clinical practice or enhance my leadership.

4. If I fail to meet any of the above stipulations, within the stated time frames, will result in the loss of reimbursement scholarship award received fromTAPAN.

ASPAN 40th National Conference, schedule for April 24 -29, 2021 is completely virtual. Visit aspan.org for information about the National Conference registration process. For members who are preparing for CPAN or CAPA Certification, a Pre-Conference Certification Review Course is schedule for Sunday, April 25th, 2021, also a Leadership Post Conference is schedule on Thursday, April 29th, 2021.

Attendees has 120 days to complete viewing ASPAN 40th National Conference sessions.
